Indigo Creations teams up with That Board by Tess for a fun and unique combination workshop.
The combination candlemaking and charcuterie class was hosted by Two Pints Lounge in Bolingbrook.
Our Chicagoland candlemaking classes have been a great way to share handcrafting and creativity with the local community, and Tess from That Board Cheese and Cracker has a similar passion for sharing her craft with others! That Board is a charcuterie arts brand dedicated to quality ingredients and beautiful presentation via charcuterie boards, grazing tables, gift boxes, and private workshops. We were so excited to team up with another local, woman-owned small business to give guests the opportunity to explore both crafts!
This candlemaking and charcuterie class was held just in time for Mother's Day!
Some guests brought their moms as an early Mother's Day treat, others planned to take their creations home to gift later, and a handful just attended for a little weekend self-care. In any case, everyone had a good time learning, crafting, and sipping wine together!
Create Your Own Candle and Charcuterie Box
The projects for this workshop were a beautiful rose gold soy candle with crackling wooden wick, and a Mother's Day themed charcuterie box with fresh, seasonal ingredients!
First, guests got an introduction to the basics of candlemaking before selecting their own scents and getting the hands on experience of making their own candle. While the candles set, Tess from That Board took over to give step-by-step guidance on the ingredients and arrangements for a delightfully artsy charcuterie box including delicious goat cheese, edible flowers, fresh honey, and premium meat & cheese!
Of course, this lovely candlemaking and charcuterie workshop couldn't have happened without the hospitality of Two Pints Lounge, who served up drinks, snacks, and a great environment to our group.

This candlemaking and charcuterie event was so fun, and tickets sold out within a day! There's no need to worry if you missed out, though. This collaboration of local, woman-owned small businesses in Chicagoland will definitely be returning soon.
